Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the easiest way to ensure your factory’s electrical equipment is safe.
PAT testing is the process of regularly testing electrical equipment (usually once a year), to ensure everything is in good working order. A competent and trained person will conduct a formal visual inspection and a manual examination, using a portable appliance tester device.
Once the engineer is happy everything is working as it should, they will issue a PAT certificate as well as stickers on the tested appliances, which detail when the test was completed and when the appliance should be retested.
