Each extinguisher is checked against its type and rating, with accessibility and signage reviewed. We inspect the pressure gauge, weight of CO2 units, hose, horn and seals, the tamper seal and pin, and check for corrosion or damage, along with the installation height and bracket security. Components are replaced where required, and where an extended service is due, this can include controlled discharge, internal inspection, media replacement and re-pressurisation in line with manufacturer specification.
Once servicing is complete, extinguishers are refitted to their bracket, service labels are updated and your site fire logbook is brought up to date. Any damaged, discharged, out-of-date or unsuitable equipment is clearly recorded, and your responsible person is informed of any defects or replacement needs.
